For a quiet rural site we designed two small and compact houseboat (dutch = woonark or woonboot). One with a flat roof and one with a pent roof.
They are both being used as a holdiday house and are located along a wide river close to a beautiful area with more lakes and rivers.
The large windows and high ceiling in this houseboats eating area and kitchen will give a spectacular view towards the water and surrounding farmlands which makes it an ideal place to relax.
Due to a splitlevel floor level construction created more sleeping areas in the basement and a higher level for the living area than the kitchen to have a better view to the surroundings.
