For a beautiful site along one of the main rivers in our waterland the Netherlands we created a split level houseboat (Dutch = woonark or woonboot) with a green pent roof in line with the angle of the solar panels. The facade will be made out of dark timberwood boards as a reference to sheepfolds in the country side.

We are exploring the houseboat further more to create a highly sustainable heat exchanger to make the houseboat energy efficient. The large windows and high ceiling in the living area will give a spectacular view towards the water.
