This apartment renovation, located in a former office building on the picturesque Keizersgracht in the heart of Amsterdam, involved transforming the space into a stylish and sustainable living environment. We focused on improving the layout while upgrading the basement area, which features the main bedroom and an open bathroom.
To enhance sustainability, we implemented a modern installation system, carefully considering energy efficiency and resource conservation. We prioritized the reuse of original elements, retaining features such as the elegant steel doors and high-quality sanitary fixtures. Additionally, we crafted custom-designed cupboards that seamlessly blend functionality with the apartment’s aesthetic.
One of the significant challenges was reintroducing all the necessary sanitary installations into the compact lower basement area. Despite the limited space, our team expertly navigated this challenge, ensuring that every detail was meticulously executed.
The result is a beautifully renovated apartment that harmonizes modern design with the historical character of the building, completed within a remarkably short timeframe. This project exemplifies our commitment to innovative design and sustainable living in an urban setting.
